WHO YOU GONNA CALL?

Here's the scene. You are a police officer and you are on your regular patrol. It's 10:00 PM and you get a call on your radio. The call says shots fired in a possible domestic situation. The call also adds that the suspect hates police and is known to be combative. You are alone as you get to the address. As you walk up to the door, the suspect comes out holding a woman by her hair and carrying a handgun pointed at the woman. He then turns to you, points his weapon straight at you, and says, "Get out of here or I'll kill you and the woman." 

What do you do? What should you do? You know that the woman is probably going to get killed or seriously wounded at least. Oh, and by the way, the suspect is black and you are white.

The next problem is that this is in Minneapolis, or Atlanta, or Seattle, or maybe New York City. Now what do you do?

Next scenario. You are on your patrol and you witness a young girl being molested by a group of young men. You pull up and the young boys pull out handguns and start firing, indiscriminately. Everybody is a target. They are running as they shoot. Again they are all black and you are still white. What do you do? Specifically what do you do if you are a police officer in any of the cities I cited earlier?

I could mention case after case for this column but it still asks the same question, what to do. Now mind you, all this is happening as city after city is looking for ways to cut funding for their police departments. The domestic terrorist groups, which are in fact terrorizing these cities, are out of control and they are pressing the issue. Defund the police is their rallying cry.

A number of departments are finding it may not be necessary to cut their funding because many of their officers are quitting. I know that if I was a police officer today, I would find a new line of work. These politically correct government officials are going to wake up soon to anarchy and chaos and no policemen to handle the problem. What then? Who you gonna call when there are no policemen on the force?

A few years back I attended a sixteen-week civilian police academy. As civilians we were taught what it means to be a police officer. We were trained in driving techniques, shooting, pit maneuvers, fingerprinting, and crime scene investigation. During the course we got to experience the taser. Everyone of us was tased to know what that was like. Take my word for this, you don’t ever want to be tased. Unpleasant does not do justice to the experience. We were taught by police officers and their chiefs. It truly was an amazing time and it taught me a brand new respect for the police.

So now I have a few words for the morons who are trying to defund the police departments in our major cities. It ain’t gonna happen. You got that? You need to find some other country to ply your anarchy. America is a law and order country and we don’t take too kindly to lawbreakers and thugs. That, then brings up the matter of city councils and mayors who seem hell bent on destruction of their cities. 

If you clowns don’t come to your senses you are going to wake up some morning with no police department to underfund. The cops will all be gone. Do you really think that the police are just going to stand by while they are being fed to the wolves and not fight back? They know what we all should know. A hesitating cop is a dead cop.

Attention city council, when the bad guys are breaking into your house, who you gonna call???

ENJOY CHAZZ WHILE YOU CAN

Wow, what a week it has been. It is very difficult to deal with just one issue so I will try to cover the nonsense that most upsets me. Last week we dealt with the few cities that are begging for their own destruction by eliminating the police departments. Now one of my favorite cities has shown the true nature of socialism and stupid government. Anarchists and thugs have taken over six blocks or so in the city of Seattle, WA. They have decided to split from America and declared themselves "autonomous". Whatever that means. They broke into a police precinct and took it over, including personal effects of the working cops that were on the job. Also in the building were road blockades and weaponry. 

The police were ordered to stand down and let the thugs have what they want. Now the residents and businesses in those six blocks belong to the anarchists who, by the way, are patrolling the borders of their new found country named "Chazz". They are armed with automatic weapons and fully masked in the style of Antifa.  

To the citizens of Chazz I have just one comment. Enjoy it while you can because it is coming to a rapid end. If you morons decide you are going to try to defend your lawlessness, you will be making a mistake of catastrophic proportions. You had best think again. The real Americans who live in that beautiful city are going to take back their property and while they are at it, they may toss their idiot mayor into the Puget Sound. She apparently doesn’t think this is such a big deal. She even called it the summer of love. What? Well Mayor, it most assuredly is a big deal. In fact it is treason and insurrection and in the past has been punishable by death. When this all ends, and it will soon, it is not going to be a pretty sight.

In some cities here in the south people are demanding the destruction of any and all memorials to the Confederacy and all statues of heroes of that conflict. In addition they want streets and schools renamed. I guess the thinking is that if we just tear down these memorials the history will have changed. Sorry. History is history. Deal with it. You can try to rewrite it, you can even try to hide from it, but you can't change it. And you don't have to like it. Tearing down a few statues and renaming some schools isn't going to change history.

Finally, this point. In the recent past several noted entertainers have died. It happens. The ones I am talking about here though were drug addicts, Michael Jackson, himself a pedophile, Whitney Houston, and Prince. These all happened to be extremely talented and incidentally black, but their race had nothing to do with my point. After their deaths, an effort was made to sanctify them. We were led to believe these individuals were perfect. The effort included an attempt to hide the fact they were junkies. Now add to that the recent death of George Floyd. Again he was eulogized as a saint. Thousands of dollars were contributed to his funeral. Nothing was mentioned about the fact that he was stoned and committing a crime at the time of his arrest and that he was essentially a career criminal having just recently gotten out of prison for an armed home invasion. Granted this latest crime did not deserve the death penalty but, had he not been out committing crime, he probably would still be alive.

Look at what this country has gone through since his burial. Floyd didn't deserve to die the way he did, but this country doesn't deserve the nonsense we have been put through either.

Very soon now, hopefully, the adults in this country will be heard from, and the flower children will doubtless have to retreat to their safe places. We can only hope.

DRUG ADDELED BRAINS AT WORK

So many times sitting down to write one of these columns, I have started with the thought that I had seen just about everything. Well, of course I haven't and it has happened again. This, like so many other of the situations I have described, seems to be the result of sixties-era hippies having survived and gone on to try to function as adults. 

Normally one would expect to see this on the west coast. But today we are talking about Minneapolis, Minnesota. The City Council, in their apparent drug addled wisdom, have decided to defund the police department. They apparently believe that police are just too mean and that laws should only be regarded as suggestions. And they are serious. 

Now, let us consider just what a major city like Minneapolis would look like with no police department. Crime would be rampant. No legitimate business could survive. Banks would have to close their doors. People would be killed and injured by speeding motorists. No one would be safe in their homes. All of the citizens, for their own protection, would have to be armed. Murder and mayhem would be the order of the day. Obviously no city could ever survive long without police protection. 

Left wingnuts steeped in political correctness and probably barely able to function as humans can't seem to put the dots together. 

I said earlier that one might expect this kind of nonsense on the west coast and Los Angeles hasn't disappointed. Their city council is considering a similar law. Defund the police and we'll all sit around the campfire and sing Kumbaya. This seems to me to be the work of drug addled brains. Now several other cities are also considering this defunding nonsense. They mostly seem to be cities filled with left wingnuts governed by left wingnuts. 

If any of these cities actually pass such laws, I have a suggestion for other major cities who try to obey laws and protect their citizens. Take out full page ads in your local newspapers and on TV advising thugs and crooks that they can go to places like Minneapolis and Los Angeles and any of the others to commit their crimes and rob and steal with impunity. There is no punishment for law breaking because there is no law enforcement. 

Crime would necessarily be reduced in the well-governed cities because the bad guys would go to where they can ply their trade freely. To me it seems a perfect solution. The good guys get to reduce their crime and the morons who defunded the police departments get to deal with the mess they caused for themselves. Problem solved. 

America is a free country. We believe in law and order. We enact laws to protect people and property and they are enacted for the good of all. Granted there are a few bad cops. There are far more bad guys. Anarchy exists. There are people who want to forever change our system of government. It is up to the sane adults to take a firm stance. Our system is ours to protect or to lose.

Some years ago I wrote in a column about an incident concerning some people unhappy with the police. I recalled in the sixties the hippies calling the police pigs. In the column I suggested that if you thought the police were pigs, the next time you're in trouble call a hippie. See how that works for you. 

Without enforcement, any laws are unnecessary and unimportant. Law would be unenforceable.  This whole idea of eliminating police is stupid. It plays right into the hands of the anarchists. We all should be thankful people who choose to be police officers exist and we should tell them so. Thank you officers for your selfless service.
