IT'S FALL Y'ALL

It's Fall y'all. That's what our TV weatherman announced recently when he came on to give his weather report. Some of us are really looking forward to fall and cooler weather.

There is no doubt that most of us have experienced a hot summer. Some say even hotter than normal, whatever normal is. A very cursory look at our summer weather uncovers a villain. El Nino. That's right. It wasn't global warming or even climate change. It was just a fairly normal phenomenon that happens occasionally.

Well, guess what. We now should expect a visit from another phenomenon known as La Nina. Those among you with foreign language skills will recognize El Nino as little boy and La Nina as little girl. Generally El Nino brings hot weather and La Nina brings cooler, wetter weather.

We have weathermen and women ready to tell us what to expect from the weather. These people are scientists known as meteorologists.  They are highly educated but, sadly they seem to miss about as often as they are correct. I have often believed they just stick their thumb into the air to see what is going on.

So then, here comes The Farmer's Almanac which has been the standard many in this country have depended on for weather information for years. They now predict a colder, wetter winter than normal. There's that word normal again. Oh well.

Here is what I expect and predict. I am a staunch believer in "climate change." Not the climate change preached by the global warming crowd, but actual real climate change. It happens every year and human activity has nothing to do with it. For most of us it occurs four times a year. It's called spring, summer, fall, and winter.

In my eighty plus years on this earth we have seen these climate changes. I love the fall. I love winter. Spring might be my favorite because everything seems to be reborn and come alive. Since my earliest memories, summer has been the hot season. That's when tomatoes get ripe and fruit trees bear their delicious offerings.

When God created all this, he had a plan that still works today. I for one am grateful for His plan. In the meantime, all I can say is, relax because it's Fall y'all.

THE CASE FOR MANDATORY RETIREMENT

Should there be mandatory retirement for elected government officials? I intend to offer you a few reasons why it may be necessary. Diane Feinstein, Mitch McConnell, and of course Joe Biden. How about Nancy Pelosi? She just announced she was running for reelection. After all she said, the people of San Francisco need her in the Congress looking out for them. She, by the way, is 83. Some might say if San Francisco elects her, she is their problem. It doesn't work that way. If they elect her they inflict her on the entire country. There are doubtless many more. Our Congress has been recently described as a nursing home with free medical insurance. How true, how true.

When I was younger I objected to the idea of mandatory retirement. Now that I am older, 82, I have come to more appreciate the value of that concept. I know that I have slowed down a great deal. I also know that I don't recover as quickly as I used to. My brain has a tendency to forget simple things. Like why I wind up in a particular room and what I am there for. My doctor says it is normal. Imagine if I were in charge of nuclear weapons or running the world's biggest economy. No, don't even imagine that. I'm just too old.

And while I'm on the subject of mandatory stuff, how about a minimum IQ requirement for Congress and the White House. Haven't we had enough morons making rules for us? We have Congressmen who think islands float and Congresswomen who believe we have put men on Mars.

I'm sure we all have seen the signs at county fairs which say that to get on this ride, you must be this tall. It's a safety measure. Should we not be as concerned about the safety of the country with the legislators we elect? Obviously I'm not talking about their height.

Here's the problem with my proposal. In order for it to become law, the very people who would be most affected would be the ones who would have to enact the law. What do you suppose the chances of that happening?

The Congress enacted a little perk that virtually ensures they will never have to be responsible to voters. That little perk is seniority. This guarantees that sitting Members keep their jobs. It also renders newly elected Members impotent. They are relegated to nothing assignments without any power. They are probably told that they have just been elected into the biggest gravy train on earth and they are not going to be allowed to mess it up. So, just go along and get along and you too can ride the gravy train as long as you wish.

The result is old people hanging on to their jobs until they are well too old to handle them. I'm pretty sure that is not what the framers of our government intended. Remember all of this on election day.

To all you pro football fans, look at Aaron Rogers. He is too old to play pro football. Four plays into his first start as an old quarterback and he ruptured his achilles tendon and may be out for good. It's not nice to try and fool Mother Nature.

UNSCREWING BIDEN'S SCREW UPS

So here comes the Federal Reserve to unscrew one of the screw ups of the Biden Administration. They are raising interest rates they say to reduce inflation. That's possible but at the same time they are destroying the real estate market as well as eliminating wealth from millions of people. Inflation was a Biden unforced error in the first place. He caused it by declaring war on fossil fuels.

Not to worry if you are living on Social Security. We will soon see a COLA increase in our checks. Now COLA stands for cost of living adjustment. They have some program they use to determine what that adjustment will be. It probably includes flights to Europe and cruises in the Caribbean. I have a suggestion. Just go to the grocery store or a gas station. That would be the real test of what inflation truly is.

The vast majority of people living on social security have seen their buying power destroyed by Bidenomics aka inflation. I just went to the grocery store with my wife. The prices are obscene. The projected cola increase will be about 3%, starting next January. If you are like me, we have been dealing with massive inflation all this year. 3% won't get it done. Oh, and by the way, Medicare premiums are also likely to increase to further add to the problem.

While on the subject of gripes. The ultra liberal DA of Fulton County Georgia is showing the world what an America hater looks like. I don't know what Trump did but it appears his biggest crime was being a popular Republican. Whatever he did, if anything, could never rise to the level of criminal activity of Hillary Clinton. Was she prosecuted? Of course she wasn't. She's a Democrat.

A very possible result of the action in Fulton County could be very dangerous for this country. There are some people who are really mad. And for what? This is all just a lame way to interfere with the next election. I will say this. The whole bunch of Trump and America haters better hope Trump isn't elected. If he is successful, they have a very iffy future. That includes the Justice Dept. and the FBI as well as many in the media, not to mention the ultra liberal prosecutors in Atlanta and in New York.

The smartest thing that could happen is for the whole mess to be thrown out of court. That would be the best thing for the country. We just need a patriotic judge to step up and take care of this.

Loyal readers will remember I suggested that Trump quit and just go home. He doesn't owe this country anything. History will be very kind to him and will doubtless excoriate those who are trying to find ways of getting rid of him.

Personally I am disgusted with all of this. I will support whichever Republican wins the nomination. This country absolutely cannot afford another four years of Joe Biden. You talk about somebody who probably should be in jail, look no further than sleepy Joe and his junkie son, Hunter. When Hillary is arrested and made to defend herself in court, I could show more interest in whatever Trump has done, if anything.

FOR THE GOOD OF THE COUNTRY

Some of my most loyal readers may well get mad at me but I believe there are some things that need to be said.

First, let me be clear, I believe Donald Trump was one of our best presidents of all time. Had he been left alone by the screaming lefties he would have accomplished much more. But, in order to get done what he did, he had to step on some toes. Some very big toes.  They didn't like that. I believe they decided that, under no circumstance, would they ever allow Trump to serve as President again.

Now look at what they are doing. And, they are not going to stop. The big problem is the cabal that is organized against him includes the media, the Biden government, the Justice Dept, the FBI and many others. Former Soviet premier Nikita Khrushchev once said it is not important who votes. What is important is who counts the votes. That is truer than ever now.

So, what's next? As things stand right now Trump will probably be the Republican nominee for the presidency. If that happens it is my belief that he will lose the election and this country will be facing another four years of the corruption we have been living with. I don't think we can afford that.

I have no doubt in my mind that Biden is crooked and has been on the take for decades. The Congress is trying to find the goods on him but like most accomplished thieves, he has perfected a cover up that would be the envy of any crook. Add to that is the fact that the Justice Dept. and the FBI no longer work for the American people but are instead Biden's private protection force.

That all being said, what then should happen. For the good of the country, Trump should get out of the campaign and get behind some other candidate who has a real chance of winning. Trump recently said that if he wasn't running and in the lead, there would be no indictments and no investigations. I believe that.

This then is the message to you, Mr. Trump. Give it up. You have given more than your share to this country and will no doubt be recorded in history as one of our greatest presidents of all time. Go home with your beautiful wife and enjoy your remaining years. You've earned it. Park your ego on the shelf. You have proven your point. Now, for the good of the country, do the most patriotic thing you can do and go back home.

Many people believe the last election was stolen. If so, what makes anybody think that wouldn't happen again?

We, the people, have to get our country back. We absolutely cannot survive this leftist nonsense. As Margaret Thatcher once said, "The problem with socialism is that sooner or later you run out of other people's money." Amen. The liberals are spending us into financial ruin. Our national credit rating was just lowered. Another gift from Bidenomics.

I believe Donald Trump is a patriot. I hope he cares enough to do the right thing.

The coming election is ours to win…or lose. And losing cannot be an option.
