TO MASK OR NOT TO MASK

To mask or not to mask. Is that the question? I did some research but could not find a definitive answer to that question. What I did discover though was that the whole question has more to do with politics than with disease. If I go to the store without a mask, very stern looking people frown. If I am masked, I am completely ignored. 

I never thought I would see the day, but I have. There are riots in the streets. And we have a virus trying to wipe us out at the same time. While these are difficult to deal with, they are not necessarily new. We have had rioting and viral disease before. What is different now is that it all has become so political. 

The Democrats seem to think if they can just keep all this alive until election day, they will have some advantage. They can and will continue to blame Trump for all the ills in America. Have you heard any of the hearings currently under way with Attorney General Barr? Democrats everywhere should be embarrassed by the antics of the committee questioners.  Here’s a thought. Hey Democrat members of the committee, if you are afraid of the answer, don’t ask the question. 

We all have seen the completely lame reaction by the city governments to the rioting. Some are even blaming Trump for the riots. Nobody is falling for that bit of nonsense. The rioting is being caused by anarchists and thugs who see an opportunity to loot and destroy with no consequence. The President is doing his job of protecting American citizens from lawbreakers who would otherwise cause harm. Because of their reaction, some of these moronic liberal mayors or city managers should be arrested. 

Here's something no one has been able to explain to me. How is it possible that all this nonsense could be Trump's fault and how on earth could any of this help moronic Democrats get elected. It is obvious to even the dumbest of the dumb that the rioting is the result of liberal governments lack of law enforcement. And, concerning the Chinese virus, if anything more could be done, it would be done.  The good news is that we, because of Trump's actions, are nearing an end to this bug and its damage. The Democrats are going to have to come up with something else.

Now, if you are concerned that Trump might be reelected, there's a solution. The obvious answer to the opposition to President Trump is for the Dems to come up with a candidate who can lead and a platform that helps this great country. A candidate whose only platform is “I’m not Trump,” is a loser. Socialism has never worked anywhere in the world and it won't work here. Trying to sell it to the American people is not going to happen. It might also be helpful to understand that the people who oppose socialism are not going to sit in their rocking chairs waiting for it to fail either. They would be far more likely to take whatever action is needed to make certain it never happens.

We are headed for a momentous decision in our history. I have said before and I will say again, if the American voters elect Joe Biden to be the President, we will deserve what happens. It will not be pretty. I promise you.

ARE WE LOSING OUR GREAT COUNTRY?

Are we losing our great country? How much longer can we have a free America? Like you, I have been following the polls. They show, today, that Biden is well ahead of Trump. If that is true, we will suffer huge losses as a country. I don't believe we can survive with a moron like Biden in the White House.

The problem is not so much Biden though. He's an idiot to be sure. The problem is the puppet masters who will continue to pull the strings on Biden. Some of them we know, like AOC, Pelosi, Soros, and liberals in the Congress, but others we do not. They are hiding and waiting for their chance to pounce and take over this great land.

And so you ask, Ron, what do you mean we are losing our country. Where's your evidence? Look around you. So called demonstrators are destroying our cities and assaulting our police officers. The Mayors and City Managers seem to encourage these actions instead of stopping them.  Silly little Ocasio/Cortez endorsed a Democrat opponent of another Democrat and AOC's candidate won. How does a moron like AOC have that kind of juice?

Some formerly beautiful cities are being brought to their knees by greatly reduced police budgets. I wouldn't travel to San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, New York, Minneapolis, or any of these once marvelous cities. In a matter of just a few short years, they will be completely destroyed. 

National media seems to encourage the lawlessness. Former great newspapers are being reduced, by their own policies, to garbage wrap. Television networks seem to be trying to see who can out do others with phony news and lies. 

Former bastions of truth and justice, the FBI and the Justice Dept., are being shown to be nothing but a bunch of political hacks. For the last three and a half years they have been trying to overthrow our duly elected government. 

Our colleges and universities are turning out cloned little so-called progressives. They are nothing more than socialists with no clue as to how an economy works. Most of them have no interest in actually working anyway. How do they suppose food and shelter will continue to be available if no one works? If their toilet gets plugged, who's going to fix it? I guarantee you it won’t be a progressive.

We are rapidly approaching a major turning point in our history. It will be a choice to continue this great experiment called America, or to toss it all away in favor of European styled socialism. What would you favor?

The election of Biden will almost certainly pronounce an end to America as we have known it. I so hate to be a fear monger, but I truly believe this. We are running out of time. In times past, we had one political party in power and the other one was the loyal opposition. No more I fear.

No president in modern history has been more effective than Donald Trump. He has accomplished more in his three short years than others have in two terms.  He took office with the burden of the mess left by the Obama/Biden terms. This country has never seen such growth. All this while his opponents used every dirty trick they could find to thwart the will of the American people. His reward for his success has been an almost constant attempt to get rid of him. I guess swamps just don’t like to be drained.

If the voters turn this President out in favor of a complete idiot like Biden, we deserve what we will get, and it won't be pretty.

WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG?

It appears a majority of the Seattle City Council has voted to reduce the police department budget by over 50%. Seven of the nine members have decided that social workers will do a better job of dealing with gang bangers, drug addicts, drunks, and bad guys in general than armed police officers. What could possibly go wrong with an idea like that? 

They intend to spend that money on social programs like safe spaces for law breakers and discussion groups for armed killers. Kumbaya anyone?

I used to live in Seattle. It was a beautiful city. But, no more I fear. To any reasonable person with average intelligence the whole idea of defunding the police is stupid. Bad guys are not suddenly going to become good citizens. The murder rate is going to skyrocket. Property crime will go through the roof. The good people will have to defend themselves. It is going to be like the old west.

Of course Seattle is not alone as a city governed by idiots. New York City's violent crime rate has increased by over 150% just this year. Last weekend a one-year old baby was shot and killed in his stroller. And they also are cutting back on their police budget. Police officers there are retiring at a much faster rate than normal. I cannot imagine any intelligent person wanting to be a police officer today. They get zero support from their city governments and are subjected to citizen abuse as well as used as target practice by thugs on the street. There are much better options for career minded youngsters today. 

I often wonder how in the world these morons are elected to run these cities. Are the voters that stupid? When you see a city like Seattle or New York with the troubles they are facing, what does that say about the people who elected their leaders?

We can sit here and speculate all day on what the future holds for this new program of social engineering. We can imagine what will come. Then we wonder what will the citizens actually do when it all hits the fan. How long would you wait for a 911 call if someone was breaking into your house?  How about an armed robber trying to hijack your car? Then there's this one. A drunk, armed, domestic fight. Unquestionably one of the most dangerous calls a cop makes. Does any reasonable person truly believe a social worker is the proper remedy for this situation?

Every day we hear of bravery displayed by police officers in the face of danger. We hear of them taking people out of burning cars and houses. We know of many cases where they go looking for missing kids. While everybody else is trying to escape danger, the police are dashing into it.

In all of my life I have never had a problem with a police officer. I have been stopped and cited for speeding. Of course, most of the time when I speed, I don't get stopped. Another important thing here is that when I am stopped, I don't argue. When they say stop, I stop. When they say go, I go. Seems pretty simple to me. 

All of these cities who are going to face the future without police protection are begging for their own destruction. I don't think it will take very long. As the body count goes up, the demand for increased police will be loud and clear. Will they return? Who knows.
