I am going to ask you a
question. If you were walking down any street after dark in any major city in
America and you were confronted by a group of young black teenagers with their
caps on sideways and their pants down below their butts, what would you think?
Would you be alarmed? Would you be scared? If you were smart you would be. If
you were really smart you wouldn’t be there in the first place or, at the very
least, you would be armed.
Now, if you were a
police officer, would you feel any differently? How about if you were a normal
tax paying, hard working, black man or woman? Why should we feel this way? Is
this fear inordinate? Is there any basis for this fear?
The answer is of course
you have a very real basis for this fear. And the black race has brought this
suspicion on themselves. If you look like a thug, dress like a thug, talk like
a thug, most sensible people are going to think you are a thug. If it walks
like a duck, and talks like a duck, it probably is a duck. This group of young
people could be a church choir going to practice, but no one would imagine
that. They could be going out to feed the homeless, but no one is going to
think that.
The reason is simple.
The odds are many in this group of youngsters have probably been raised without
a father figure. Seventy percent of black babies are born out of wedlock. Some
would have gang affiliations. Many would have a different last name than their
mother. And most of them have been fed a steady diet of victimhood for their
entire lives. Doubtless many in the group will be armed with knives or guns. If
you come to the conclusion that this is a dangerous situation, you would
probably be right.
And so I ask you. What
should you do if confronted by this situation? So far no law has been broken.
Being on the street making a public spectacle of yourself isn’t a crime. In
America the law cannot get involved unless and until a crime is committed. Here
is my suggestion. Don’t be in that situation. Don’t go walking down the street
in any major city where you could have such a confrontation.
As to the black
youngsters. If you put yourself in a situation where any normal person of any
color would be suspicious, you are probably going to be hassled by the police.
As I said, the black population has brought this suspicion on themselves. I
know it’s not fair, but that is just the way it is.
Now when and if the
police arrive, listen and obey their instructions. Just today I read of a young
man who was shot and killed by police because he refused to show police his
hand which he had hidden behind his back. What is the policeman supposed to do?
I promise you he won’t wait until you bring your hand around with a loaded
handgun. That would be too late. Incidentally that young man was white. His
refusal to comply with police instructions cost him his life.
Today all across the
country mobs of black and white people are demanding defunding the police
departments. New York City has agreed to defund by a billion dollars. We will
all see the results of that bit of stupidity. It’s not going to be pretty.
Sadly thirteen percent
of the population dominates the news with murder and mayhem. They fill our
courts and they fill our prisons, and it is not the fault of white America.
Nothing is going to change until they themselves change starting with their
family structure. It must be revamped. No one who lives in this country is a
victim, so quit playing that card. It is tiresome.
