HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM

 

Like most of you I have been watching some of the recent Presidential press conferences. I am astounded by the physical deterioration I have witnessed in Joe Biden. That, of course, is in addition to the obvious mental deterioration. 

 

The job of president is an awesome responsibility and not everyone is up to it. We have all seen how individuals age while in that office. But it usually takes longer than six months for that aging to show up.

 

It is pretty obvious to me that he arrived in office as damaged goods but that condition was withheld from the American people during the campaign. The media had decided that Trump was going to be removed so they chose to ignore everything else to serve that end. Now here we are involved in the biggest debacle in foreign policy history.

 

Americans are dying and there is a good chance some will be abandoned in our haste to bail out of Afghanistan. It appears we are rushing to meet some "red line" so as not to upset the Taliban. Are you kidding me? America sets red lines, not the other way around. 

 

Another thing I saw at a recent press conference amazed me. The president made some wise crack to a reporter and "somebody" cut his microphone off. ??? At another presser he said that he had been given a list of what reporters to call on. ??? Tell me who has the authority to cut off the microphone of the President of the United States? Who are the "people" who can give the President a list of people he can call on at a press conference? I think I would like to see a press conference with whoever is pulling the strings on Joe Biden. 

 

We have suspected for some time that Biden was not making the decisions coming out of his office. Who is, and by what authority? 

 

Consider what our country has experienced just since January 20. That was day one of the Biden regime. Runaway inflation, insecure southern border with tens of thousands of illegal aliens from all over the world crossing our border, increasing crime in many major cities. All of this was in an effort to cancel all things Trump. Now we have a catastrophe in Afghanistan. Pelosi and the liberal Democrats are hell bent on bankrupting the country with massive spending bills. 

 

Quite frankly, let's face it, it is unsustainable. It has to stop. There are a number of high-ranking people demanding that Biden resign. I gotta tell you. That ain't gonna happen. My own Congressman just said that America is unsafe with Biden in office. Hmmm. So, what are you doing about it?

 

Then there's the 25th Amendment crowd. If you are unaware of this little gem, it basically is a Constitutional way to remove a sitting President if he, or a majority of his Cabinet deem that he is unable to continue in office. What do you suppose the chances of that happening? Oh, and there's this other little problem of who steps in to take over. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, Kamala Harris, with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi patiently waiting in the wings as next in line.

 

To put it best, Houston, we have a problem. 

 

So, what now? How will we deal with all this? I readily admit, I don't know. I do not believe the American people should rise up and rebel. The Congress definitely has a role here. There has to be several Democrats who know we cannot and will not continue on this path into oblivion. How do we get their attention?

 

Can we last until the next election? Yes. We have a problem, but we, the people, are the solution.
