WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REPUBLICAN

Biden has been pretty quiet lately. His handlers must be hiding him in the basement already in preparation for the upcoming election. They absolutely cannot allow him to make any public speeches or proclamations. He seems to have an uncanny ability to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.

For example, just last week he told us to remember Easter not as the most important day on the Christian calendar for its religious significance, but instead to remember the day as "transexual awareness day". Oh, and he also supervised the White House Easter egg roll. He however declared that none of the eggs could have any religious symbols or in any way reflect any religious significance. Hmmm. Maybe the untold millions who celebrate Easter as the day Christ rose from the grave are getting it all wrong. Silly me. Maybe it should be a day of watching sexually abnormal people play with bright colored eggs.

If I were a Democrat, I wouldn't want this moron anywhere near a microphone. You never know what is going to come out of his mouth. I don't think he does either.

This begs the question. How in the world do the Dems plan to go forward with this next election? Biden has already proven he is incapable of serving as president. Trump already leads in the polls. Biden isn't getting any younger or any more capable. Kennedy is draining off potential votes. All in all it looks pretty grim for the Democrats. Which is good for the country.

I don't want to help the Democrats but if I did, I would suggest perhaps a different candidate. The problem, of course, is who would that be? Some have suggested Gavin Newsom, current governor of California. Then we could turn the entire country into another California. I think not. No doubt Democrats have a problem.

Personally, I believe if they thought more like Republicans, their choices would be easier. What is that thinking you may ask? Well I'm about to tell you.

First, personal responsibility. Next, a strong military. In fact, the strongest. The economy. Quit spending money we don't have. Put America first. Secure our borders. Support law enforcement. Don't use the Justice Dept. as a private police dept. They belong to the American people, not to any political party. Finally, all people are equal. Many groups who claim they want equality actually want special rights.

As you can see, it's easy to be a Republican. And the country needs it. We just want to be Americans loyal to the Constitution. If you don't think this way, maybe you should re-examine your thinking.

NO LAW WAS BROKEN

NO LAW WAS BROKEN

As some of you know I worked for finance companies during my working years. I granted loans to applicants. Different collateral was offered for these loans. Some were, of course, real estate loans.

The applicant would submit an application wherein they offered information about themselves in order to qualify for the loan. They would also offer collateral to stand as security for the loan.

My job was to evaluate the customer's credit qualification, as well as the collateral, for the loan requested. To do this evaluation I would call a credit bureau as well as other creditors who had experience with this borrower to determine their pay habits.

To evaluate the collateral was a bit more involved. If, for example, a customer was applying for a real estate loan, we would never assume his evaluation of his real estate was accurate. No, we would have it appraised by a professional real estate appraiser. At that point we could know with some certainty what our exposure was. Then if the value was there and the credit qualification was met, we would grant the loan.

As you can see, it was a simple process. It was called three Cs and S. Character, capacity, collateral, and stability. Most of the time the customer repaid the loan and all was well. That was the business we were in.

I point this out because of what is happening in New York concerning Trump and his so-called fraud trial. The prosecutor alleged Trump applied for a loan and misled the lender by overstating the value of the collateral. It appears the lender granted the loan based on Trump's estimate of its value. That's on the banker, not the borrower. Anyway, it is all for nothing because the loan was repaid and there was no harm, no victim, and hence, no crime.

So, what is obvious is that the New York prosecutor doesn't care. She just wants to interfere in a free election. This is "banana republic" activity. We are America and that's not the way it's done. Even had the loan not been repaid, it still is on the lender, not the borrower.

It is also obvious that the judge in this case is in cahoots with the prosecutor. Now the prosecutor wants to begin taking Trump's property to satisfy her illicit judgment. Unbelievable.

If you are in business in New York, beware. It appears the local government agencies don't let law get in their way. These agencies better hope that Trump doesn't win. If he does, a lot of those people will be looking for jobs…as soon as they get out of jail.

WHO IS IN CHARGE?

This column will be a departure from my normal political rants. I am directing this to that growing group of "climate change" worshipers. They are the ones who believe humans are in charge of nature instead of nature being in charge.

I was looking in my neighbor's backyard and witnessed a raccoon which appeared to be in trouble. It was rolling around and just seemed not to be right. After a while it stopped and just laid still. I figured it must have died. I went on to bed as usual.

The next morning I looked out and saw probably twelve to fifteen buzzards. Maybe six were feeding on the raccoon carcass with the rest idly sitting on the roof. Soon a few flew down to feed and shoo away the ones there. They returned to the roof. This rotation continued for most of the day and the raccoon disappeared.

There was nothing going on that wasn't normal. But it raised some questions in my mind. First, this area is a tree covered neighborhood with kids and people everywhere. It is certainly not out in the wild. It would be difficult to see the ground from the air due to the tree cover. Plus most of the action happened after dark.

Now, unless I am mistaken, racoons don't have obituary pages in the newspapers. Also, I don't think buzzards have internet service or gmail. So, how did they discover the dead raccoon so quickly as well as gather a crowd to assist? This then is the true revelation of who is in charge of nature. Clue, it ain't humans.

It is clearly obvious that buzzards are tasked by nature to remove carrion. All animals are going to die. Removal of carrion is nature's way of getting rid of disease-bearing dead creatures. And aren't we glad of it. Humans are smart enough to bury their dead. Lesser animals are not so fortunate.

And so to those of you who think humans are in charge, consider this. The buzzards in the dark of night found the poor hapless raccoon and dispatched the entire carcass in one day. Humans had nothing to do with it. And it happens every day somewhere.

Nature, or God as I prefer to identify it, is in charge. Humans, like buzzards and raccoons, are merely residents of this great earth and as such are subject to the laws of nature. I think it is good for all of us to be reminded of that at times.
