After much conversation with my family and due consideration of the work involved, I have decide not to announce my candidacy for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. I understand this may come as a shock and even a disappointment to many of you. My decision is however final. I will use this forum to explain my decision and beg for your understanding.
First, there already is a loud mouthed, opinionated, know-it-all individual in the race so my candidacy would be redundant. I doubt we need another one. Secondly, we have what is tantamount to half the population of the country already announced and I don’t like to be in crowds. Third, the effort it will take to fix the mess our country is in will take two lifetimes and I don’t think I have that much time left. There are of course other reasons but I think you understand my feelings.
I therefore thought I would take this opportunity to offer considerations of the candidates who have announced and give you some of my opinions.
The Democrats. I don’t trust Hillary Clinton period. To me she is a political opportunist with empathy for Hillary and no one else. She would be dangerous to this country. Sanders and Warren are joke punch lines. Both are far left liberal socialists who would be better off in Europe where they could live in the Socialist paradise of, say, Greece. If I had to pick a Democrat it would be Jim Webb, former Senator from Virginia. Webb is a former military man who comes much closer to what this country needs than any other Democrat currently running.
Now the Republicans. My favorite is Gov. Mike Huckabee. He is a good man with executive experience. I recognize he is far behind at this time but you never know what might happen. Number two is Gov. Scott Walker, another with executive experience and a proven record of problem solving. He also has shown tremendous courage in the face of difficulty. Gov. Rick Perry is next on my list. A daring and effective former governor who is exactly what we need as we face adversaries who need to see our true nature. How about Chris Christie? He would make Putin look like the little puppy dog that he is. He would also put Iran in their place and that is not in possession of nuclear weapons. Finally on this list is Sen. Marco Rubio. Rubio is a young attractive individual who has a real future in our government, but he is very young. I would prefer him as the Vice President.
I understand there are many others that I have not commented on. They are at the bottom of my list as they are with most others. The exception might be Jeb Bush. I like him but circumstance, I believe, will be his doom.
The coming election will be one of the most important in our history. Of primary importance is the danger the world faces and the reality that we are the only nation with the resources and courage to fix it. We absolutely cannot entrust this country to political hacks or loud mouthed self promoters. It is for that reason, among others, that I say, as did Lyndon Johnson facing almost certain defeat, I will not seek, nor will I accept the nomination for President of the United States.
I hope that all of my supporters will understand and get serious about picking a candidate who can and will beat Hillary and return this country to its greatness.

Lol. I really enjoyed this blog; however, I'm beginning to believe it's too late to fix things. So much has been done to turn us into a socialist nation I don't even see our country anymore. I do hope you are right and it can be fixed.

First, if I HAD to pick a 'Democrap', it would be...hmmmm...Lyndon Johnson...why? BECAUSE HE'S FRICKIN' DEAD! IMHO, there's not one Dem that can, in any way, return this Country to the semblance of greatness we once enjoyed. Their philosophies, regardless of tenor and temper, will ALWAYS have them promoting big Gov, tax & spend, oversights, control, capitulation & intrusions. They can't help it. No matter how 'middle-of-the-road' they project, they're either Socialists or Socialists-lite!
I'm a huuuuuuge Donald Trump fan! Why? Because he's not a politician nor part of the political machine(s). This Country is in dire straits like never before. As a capitalist society, I believe we need an avowed capitalist to straighten this ship. Not some one who panders or sugar-coats. Someone who'll put a Conservative team together and attack our enemies, including the Liberal Left, media, re-set education, secure the border, kill the IRS/tax code, deny Iran the bomb, repeal obama(spit!)care and re-scramble the Legislative branch...term limits proposed and tie their pay to the success of the Country! Also, he'll prosecute obama(spit!), Clinton(spit!), Holder(more spit!), Lerner (getting dry here!) and many more! Only a strong leader can do that & Trump is beholding to no one, immune to lobbyists and a pillar of what can be accomplished in America! It was just reported that his choice for Atty Gen is Trey Gowdy! Jesus-jumped-up Palomino! I'm damn sure lovin' that! Also, Palin in his Cabinet somewhere. Beginning a collection of staunch Conservatives to address our MANY issues and resolve.
We've kicked the can down the road with these 'establishment' career politicians and I'm sick of all but a small handful. Boehner, McConnell, Graham, McCain, all of them...gotta go! No more business as usual. No more Bush's! No more good-ole-boys doing what they've always done to get us this f*****-up! These elected officials are beyond incompetent and do not deserve to serve. If there's a Bill that has pork attached (all), votes get muddled and distracted. Laws should require one-page Bills! If you can't say it in one page, re-write and be succinct. If you can't vote 'yes' or 'no' on it, re-write to simplify! Then when passed, the States are pressed to enact & enforce their interpretations. If you don't like your States politics, move! There's some real simple, logical, ethical solutions to every damn one of our issues and we need someone different...OUTSIDE THE ESTABLISHMENT...to lead that resurgence in common sense & justice!
My #2 is Huckabee. After that, I'm voting against the Left, not for the Right...although remaining choices may not offer much of a delta! I hate political correctness, I hate the Left, I hate their anti-American stances on virtually EVERYTHING, I hate the way our Socialist media distorts messages, shapes the battlefield and brainwashes the youth/low-info idiots. They're all that little yellow thing atop chicken shit and you know what that is?
Yup...
