0 for 4

Well the Democrats lost another special election. Just before the Georgia election we were told that this was to be a referendum on Donald Trump and his Presidency. This also, we were told, was to be a preview of the 2018 Congressional elections. Guess what? It was. Clearly the Democrats are on the wrong side of the issues. They are now 0 for 4 in special elections and things are not looking good for them in the future. The voters are sending the message that they like what Trump is doing and want to see more of the same.

While it’s not my job to tell the Democrats where they are going wrong, I can’t resist the urge to at least try. They seem to see the political spectrum as being between the right and the left. It is actually between the right and the wrong. For several years this country has tried the liberal’s method of dealing with everything from poverty, to race relations, to foreign policy, to health care and to our economy. Obviously it hasn’t worked. Trump brought new thinking and the people liked it.

Since the election the liberals have tried to overturn it. They have tried everything from recounts, to spreading lies about “Russian collusion” to accusing Trump of obstruction of justice for firing Comey. They get in front of a microphone and scream for impeachment. Sorry, Maxine, it ain’t gonna happen. Sooner or later the Democrats are going to have to get used to the fact that Trump won and Hillary lost. Trump was elected by the people. Hillary was rejected by the people. The very same people the Democrats seem to have forgotten about.

A new poll was just released that finds the American people are tired of all the negative reaction to Trump. They are tired of all the ridiculous investigations and hearings. Anybody with enough brain power to get out of bed knows there was never any Russian collusion with Trump in this last election. This always was a lie started by the Hillary campaign in an effort to explain why she lost. Let’s face it. She lost because she was a terrible candidate. She needs to take her carcass back to her trailer park in Arkansas and bake cookies. This country has had it up to here with everything Clinton.

Under Trump the Supreme Court is going to get back to the job they are hired to do. There will soon be other vacancies that will be filled by true American jurists who have read the Constitution and will render verdicts based on the law and not on feelings.

What we need now is for the Congress to get off their derrieres and deal with the issues before us. We, the people, will be holding their feet to the fire. Swamp denizens need not apply. Find another swamp. Washington D. C. will no longer be hospitable to you.

Attention Republicans. Don’t think for a moment that it’s clear sailing ahead. Just look at what the Democrats are doing to themselves. They are splitting down the middle. You have the whacko lefties following Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. They will be following them over a cliff. The Harry Truman Democrats can’t seem to get any footing. As a party they don’t have any true leadership or any understandable message. Personally I like that about the Democrats. As long as they continue to worship at the feet of Nancy Pelosi, they will continue to lose elections. I say, well done Nancy. Keep up the good work.

On the other hand, the Republicans are also having issues. The so-called right wing of the party seems intent on destroying any chance of accomplishment. Compromise, people. We elected a Republican Congress with a Republican President for a reason. Get busy or lose any chance of being reelected. We grow weary of lame excuses.
